Bearing 608-2RS with double-sided seal is designed for applications where high protective properties are required. The seals are installed in a recess in the outer ring and are in contact with the shoulder of the inner ring. The presence of seals protects the bearing from leakage of lubricant and from the penetration of dust and dirt. Seals are made of oil- and wear-resistant butadiene acrylonitrile rubber or fluoro rubber with sheet steel reinforcement.
Bearing 608-2RS is filled with grease for the entire service life and is not subject to flushing or re-lubrication. It is filled with an appropriate amount of high-quality grease in clean factory conditions. The determining factor when choosing a lubricant is the working conditions. Bearing 608-2RS does not require maintenance throughout the entire service life. Bearing 608-2RS accepts radial and axial loads acting in both directions along the shaft axis and not exceeding 70% of the unused permissible radial load.
To perceive a purely axial load, it is recommended to use bearings with an increased radial clearance between the balls and the raceway. It is not recommended to heat these bearings above 80°C during installation. The reliability of the 608-2RS bearing against grease leakage is greater than that of bearings with protective washers. The permissible operating temperature range is from -40°C to +120 °C.
